Oscar de la Renta Spring Summer 2016 Womenswear- 4 Looks I Love!

The passing of our beloved designer is still relevant and I can’t imagine the pressure that Peter Copping had to bare for this challenge of presenting a fabulous collection and yet still honor Oscar’s legacy. Well in my opinion he did a fantastic job presenting this high-glamour collection. The location of the event which took place at Prince George Ballroom served the perfect background for such artwork to gracefully glide down the runway. Peter provided elaborate attention to detail and immaculate construction which we all knew Oscar was known for and presented to us season after season.

Everything about the Oscar de la Renta show spoke love and beauty from the outstanding collection to his favorite flower a carnation that adorned each and every chair. This collection had a twist of Spanish influence, old school cinema greats and of course fabulous ball gowns. This collection was everything glamourous from the ruby red fabric to the playful mixture of suede, lace, silk and frayed edges. The 59 looks that were presented were amazing and I seriously wanted to post all 59 looks, however my favorites are below. As my personal tribute to Mr. Oscar de la Renta I have posted his show for you viewing pleasure…enjoy.
